What Do I Know of Holy?

“And why do you look at the speck in your brother’s eye, but do not consider the plank in your own eye? Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me remove the speck from your eye’; and look, a plank is in your own eye?”

 (Matthew 7:3-4)

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This is something I’ve been reflecting on a lot lately. Probably in a slightly different way than it’s being applied in this parable, but I think it still applies. I want to share with all my loved ones and the people around me the wonderful truths God is teaching me through his word and what he is doing in my life. And I want to be obedient to God and share these truths that I’m learning and not keep them to myself. Especially when I see someone who might ALSO benefit from them. But most of time I’m so self-conscious about appearing to think I know it all or maybe even foolishly thinking that without realizing it, that I struggle with sharing openly. I know I’ve said things that have been pious and hurtful before, and I praise God for his grace, and am thankful to the people who’ve forgiven me for my words. And I know I’ll probably mess up again.
So I’d like ask that you’d all pray for me to be truly humble and contrite before God and those I’ve hurt, and to be a better servant.
I heard this song on the radio today and wanted to share with you. It has a similar sentiment.
