Dt 10:17-22

17 For the LORD your God is God of gods and Lord of lords, the great God, mighty and awesome, who shows no partiality and accepts no bribes. 18 He defends the cause of the fatherless and the widow, and loves the foreigner residing among you, giving them food and clothing. 19 And you are to love those who are foreigners, for you yourselves were foreigners in Egypt. 20 Fear the LORD your God and serve him. Hold fast to him and take your oaths in his name. 21 He is the one you praise; he is your God, who performed for you those great and awesome wonders you saw with your own eyes. 22 Your ancestors who went down into Egypt were seventy in all, and now the LORD your God has made you as numerous as the stars in the sky.

I’m awake again :(

Sunday, March 11th, 2012

I’ve been awake for at least an hour and couldn’t get back to sleep, so I just got up. I don’t know why…I’m sleeeeeepy  and I don’t have anything I have to do today, so I have plenty of time.

Oh well, the birds are starting to sing and I can always take a nap later

The birds are singing XD

Saturday, March 10th, 2012

The birds are out singing and ‘borrowing’ doggie hair for their nests.

And they’re sooooo cute about it. Like little bandits stealing my dirty white hair that’s accumulated on the patio. :pirate:

GOOD MORNING!!!! Can’t sleep any more -__-

Saturday, March 10th, 2012

On the positive side, I’ve got a lot done in the mornings :-D …..but I keep waking up around 6a and not being able to fall back asleep. I have plenty of time to nap later though so it works out fine.

May the LORD make your love increase and overflow for each other and for everyone else, just as ours does for you. (1 Thess 3:12)

I miss KUNG FU!!!!!

I was attempting an easy workout this morning, and got a little bored; so I started doing form two…which I can only remember very little of :loser:

Anyhoo, when I got to the retreating bow pune-qu, my spine popped from top to bottom beautifully

My back arm and neck have been bothering me a lot lately, so this felt sooooo good.

Mark 10:35-40

Wednesday, March 7th, 2012

It’s funny how people think to elevate ourselves to God’s level when he’s so far beyond us we can’t even see the distance. :worship:

Mark 10:35-40

35 Then James and John, the sons of Zebedee, came to him. “Teacher,” they said, “we want you to do for us whatever we ask.”

36 “What do you want me to do for you?” he asked.

37 They replied, “Let one of us sit at your right and the other at your left in your glory.”

38 “You don’t know what you are asking,” Jesus said. “Can you drink the cup I drink or be baptized with the baptism I am baptized with?”

   39 “We can,” they answered.

Jesus said to them, “You will drink the cup I drink and be baptized with the baptism I am baptized with, 40 but to sit at my right or left is not for me to grant. These places belong to those for whom they have been prepared.”

Mark 10

Tuesday, March 6th, 2012

I’m surprised at how much I’ve misunderstood or missed when reading the Bible. I really need to slow down and digest it, think about what’s being said. This in particular can be understood a few different ways. Especially depending on the translation you use.

Mark 10

Divorce

1 Jesus then left that place and went into the region of Judea and across the Jordan. Again crowds of people came to him, and as was his custom, he taught them.

2 Some Pharisees came and tested him by asking, “Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife?”

3 “What did Moses command you?” he replied.

4 They said, “Moses permitted a man to write a certificate of divorce and send her away.”

5 “It was because your hearts were hard that Moses wrote you this law,” Jesus replied. 6 “But at the beginning of creation God ‘made them male and female.’[a] 7 ‘For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife,[b] 8 and the two will become one flesh.’[c] So they are no longer two, but one flesh. 9 Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate.”

10 When they were in the house again, the disciples asked Jesus about this. 11 He answered, “Anyone who divorces his wife and marries another woman commits adultery against her. 12 And if she divorces her husband and marries another man, she commits adultery.”

The Little Children and Jesus

13 People were bringing little children to Jesus for him to place his hands on them, but the disciples rebuked them. 14 When Jesus saw this, he was indignant. He said to them, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. 15 Truly I tell you, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.” 16 And he took the children in his arms, placed his hands on them and blessed them.

The Rich and the Kingdom of God

17 As Jesus started on his way, a man ran up to him and fell on his knees before him. “Good teacher,” he asked, “what must I do to inherit eternal life?”

18 “Why do you call me good?” Jesus answered. “No one is good—except God alone. 19 You know the commandments: ‘You shall not murder, you shall not commit adultery, you shall not steal, you shall not give false testimony, you shall not defraud, honor your father and mother.’[d]

20 “Teacher,” he declared, “all these I have kept since I was a boy.”

21 Jesus looked at him and loved him. “One thing you lack,” he said. “Go, sell everything you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.”

22 At this the man’s face fell. He went away sad, because he had great wealth.

23 Jesus looked around and said to his disciples, “How hard it is for the rich to enter the kingdom of God!”

24 The disciples were amazed at his words. But Jesus said again, “Children, how hard it is[e] to enter the kingdom of God! 25 It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of God.”

26 The disciples were even more amazed, and said to each other, “Who then can be saved?”

27 Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but not with God; all things are possible with God.”

28 Then Peter spoke up, “We have left everything to follow you!”

29 “Truly I tell you,” Jesus replied, “no one who has left home or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or fields for me and the gospel 30 will fail to receive a hundred times as much in this present age: homes, brothers, sisters, mothers, children and fields—along with persecutions—and in the age to come eternal life. 31 But many who are first will be last, and the last first.”

Feeling Extremely Blessed Today :D

Monday, March 5th, 2012

I’ve felt pretty useless because…I am. I can’t go very far because of the seizures and these past couple weeks I’ve felt pretty sick. So I pretty much stay at home, do errands go to the doctor :disdain:

Harvey and Momma are great. In fact, they spoil me rotten. And the doggies keep me company. But most of the time I’m too tired to really do anything and I’m not used to that. I got winded making the bed the other day…LAME!! :curse:

Anyway, today went really well. I got a lot done…well, a lot done for me now. God was really encouraging me and motivating me today. He keeps reminding me why I put my trust in him and why he’s worthy of that trust.

It’s really easy to start feeling angry or discouraged; but, with all the wonderful people in my life, and with God’s love and grace, those feelings just drain away. Thanks Everyone :-D

Also, it’s not much, but according to my last MRI, I have some necrosis (some of the bad stuff is dying) in two of my lesions  and the other one hasn’t gotten any bigger.

Starting to feel Better ^_^

Thursday, March 1st, 2012

Thanks so much for all your thought and prayers. I’m starting to feel better, and your words and prayers have been a huge encouragement. :sun:

Apparently the withdrawals from steroids is pretty brutal. People on the forums say it’s pretty hard to get off them completely. That you feel really tired and sick, so I wanted to just go for it and keep dropping down. But I went to fast and started scaring people again.

Sorry everyone :shame: I just don’t want to drag this out.

Now I have a cold…At least I think it’s a normal cold…runny nose, sore throat, that kind of thing. I’m sure I’ll be fine. I don’t want anymore drugs :doctor: (I need one of these emoticons with a big red X on it).

Thanks Again Everyone and God Bless

I’m so lucky to have you all in my life :victory:

This video was very touching, and I wanted to share with everyone :D
